Abstract
Abstract Detergent compositions comprising an organic synthetic detergent and N-polyalkyleneglycol-N,N-diacetic acid as a builder, with, optionally, organic solvents such as mono- and di-propyleneglycolmonobutyl ethers. The compositions are hard surface cleaners having reduced filming and streaking characteristics.

A detergent composition for cleaning hard surfaces, having reduced filming and streaking characteristics, and consisting essentially of from about 0.01% to about 95% of an organic synthetic surfactant, and from about 0.05% to about 95% of a detergent builder compound of the formula: ##STR3## wherein each R is selected from the group consisting of ethylene and propylene; n is a number from 2 to about 8; and each M is either hydrogen or a salt-forming cation.
