Abstract
Abstract A high strength, ultra high modulus carbon fiber is characterized by the presence of the (112) cross-lattice line and the resolution of the diffraction band into two distinct lines (100) and (101), which indicate the three-dimensional order of the crystallite of the fiber. It has an interlayer spacing (d 002 ) of 3.371 to 3.40 Å; a stack height (Lc 002 ) of 150 to 500 Å; and a layer size (La 110 ) of 150 to 800 Å.
