Claim 1
Independent Claim 123 words
An optical depth measuring device to be mounted on a drilling power tool for drilling a bore in a workpiece, said optical depth measuring device comprising: a radiation source for projecting an optical pattern onto a surface of the workpiece; at least one radiation receiver having an image area for receiving an image reflected from the surface of the workpiece; a converging lens having a focal point and located in front of said radiation receiver, said image area being located in said focal point; and signal processing means for continuously determining a depth of the drilled bore by a triangulation method in accordance with the image received by said radiation receiver, said signal processing means comprising means for indicating the determined bore depth.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 123 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 26 words
An optical depth measuring device according to claim 1 wherein said indicating means comprises optical display means for optically displaying the depth of the drilled bore.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 22 words
An optical depth measuring device according to claim 1 wherein said indicating means comprises output acoustic means for generating an acoustic signal.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 42 words
An optical depth measuring device according to claim 3 wherein said output acoustic means are arranged to generate the acoustic signal when the depth of the drilled bore reaches a magnitude which is less than a predetermined depth by a predetermined value.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 78 words
An optical depth measuring device according to claim 1 wherein said signal processing means includes input means for receiving data determining a predetermined depth of the drilled bore; and said indicating means comprises optical display means for displaying the depth of the drilled bore, and output acoustic means for generating an acoustic signal when the depth of the drilled bore reaches a magnitude which is less than a predetermined depth of the drilled bore by a predetermined value.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 25 words
An optical depth measuring device according to claim 1 wherein said radiation source is formed to project a point onto the surface of the workpiece.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 25 words
An optical depth measuring device according to claim 1 wherein said radiation source is formed to project a line onto the surface of the workpiece.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 33 words
An optical depth measuring device according to claim 1 wherein said signal processing means includes input means for inputting data determining a predetermined depth of the drilled hole into said signal processing means.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 40 words
An optical depth measuring device according to claim 1, further comprising a second lens having a focal point and located between said radiation source and the workpiece, said radiation source being located in the focal point of said second lens.
