A thiophene derivative polymer composition, comprising: a polymer having repeating units of the formula: ##STR15## wherein n denotes a number within the range of about 10 to 500 and R represents a member selected from the group consisting of ##STR16## doped with at least one anion selected from the group consisting of the tetrafluoroborate ion, perchlorate ion, hexafluorophosphate ion, hexafluoroarsenate ion, iodide, bromide, chloride, fluoride, sulfate, hydrogen sulfate, trifluoroacetate and p-toluenesulfonate in an amount within the range of 10 to 50% by weight.
