Abstract
Abstract An instant-on fuser having a cylindrical, relatively thin fiber wound cylinder supporting a resistance wire, heating foil, or printed circuit secured on the outside surface of the cylinder or embedded to the surface of the cylinder. The interior of the cylindrical tube is filled with air, and the wire, heating foil or printed circuit is connected to electrical leads extending through caps on the ends of the cylindrical support. The fuser is fabricated from the cylinder outward to the final step of applying a release agent on the outer surface.
