Abstract
Abstract Composition useful for molding into articles such as food containers, beverage bottles, cured structural plastics and the like comprising molding grade polyester such as a linear, thermoplastic polyester having reacted therewith or copolymerized therein the residue of a 7-oxy-2H-1-benzopyran-2-one compound or a 7-oxy-2H-1-benzopyran-2-imine compound, said residue absorbing radiation in the range of about 330 to 380 nm and being non-extractable from said polymer and stable under polymer formation and processing conditions.
