Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 2
Claim 1
Independent Claim 127 words
In a ureteral stent comprising an elongated member having a soft, flexible main body with a first hook at one end for placement in the bladder of a patient and a second hook at the other end for placement in the patient's kidney, the improvement which comprises forming said stent of a homogeneous, essentially linear, segmented aliphatic polyurethane elastomer cmposed of three repeating units, a diol, a diisocyanate and a macroglycol, the main body and first hook of said stent having a durometer of about 50 to about 80 Shore "A" and the second hook having a durometer of about 95 Shore "A" and a good memory that enables it to quickly resume its hook shape at body temperature when a hook straightening force has been removed.
