Abstract

Abstract In a composite material for sliding surface bearings, a rough metallic surface is provided with a polymeric matrix, which forms a friction contact or sliding layer over the rough base surface. To increase the wear resistance, the matrix contains zinc sulfide and/or barium sulfate in a particle size from 0.1 to 1.0 μm and an average particle size of 0.3 μm.
