Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 9
Claim 1
Independent Claim 110 words
A plastic container adapted to be peelably heat sealed with a lid, the container having an integral peripheral flange extending outwardly from its upper edge to which a lid may be peelably heat sealed, the lid contacting surface of the flange being comprised of a peel mixture of (1) about 40 to about 60 percent by weight polyethylene, (2) about 30 to about 45 percent by weight of a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate containing about 80 to about 98 percent by weight ethylene and about 2.0 to about 20.0 percent by weight vinyl acetate and (3) about 8 to about 28 percent by weight of a butene-1 polymer.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 110 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 37 words
The container of claim 1 wherein there is incorporated in the butene-1 polymer about 0.05 to about 0.15 percent by weight of antiblock additive and about 0.1 to about 0.5 percent by weight of a slip additive.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 11 words
The container of claim 2 wherein the antiblock additive is silica.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 13 words
The container of claim 2 wherein the slip additive is a primary amide.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 12 words
The container of claim 3 wherein the primary amide is an oleamide.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 47 words
The container of claim 1 wherein the peel mixture is comprised of about 45 to about 55 percent by weight polyethylene, about 35 to about 42 percent by weight of the ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer and about 8 to about 20 percent by weight of the butene-1 polymer.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 70 words
The container of claim 1 wherein the container is formed from a multilayer sheet comprised of an inner gas barrier core layer, a polyethylene layer bonded to one surface of the barrier layer, a high impact polystyrene layer bonded to the other surface of the barrier layer and a layer of the peel composition bonded to the polyethylene layer, the peel composition layer forming the interior surface of the container.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 14 words
The container of claim 7 wherein the barrier layer is a vinylidene chloride polymer.
