Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 4
Claim 1
Independent Claim 99 words
A process for preparing polymers of inorganic acid salts of monoallylamine or N-substituted monoallylamines, which comprises polymerizing inorganic acid salts of monoallylamine or N-substituted monoallylamines in a polar solvent in the presence of a radical initiator represented by the general formula: ##STR5## wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 represent a same or different hydrocarbon groups, and R 1 and R 2 , and/or R 3 and R 4 may form a ring; R 5 and R 6 represent independently hydrogen or an alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms; and X represents an anion.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 99 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 25 words
A process according to claim 1, wherein said radical initiator is one selected from the group consisting of 2,2'-azobis(2-N-allylamidiniumpropane)dichloride, 2,2'-azobis(2-N-allylamidiniumbutane)dichloride, 2,2'-azobis(2-N-allylamidinium(4-methyl)pentane)dichloride, 1,1'-azobis(1-N-allylamidiniumcyclohexane)dichloride, and 2,2'-azobis(2-N-methallylamidiniumpropane) dichloride.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 31 words
A process according to claim 1, wherein the amount of said radical initiator is 0.05-10% by weight based on the weight of the inorganic acid salt of monoallylamine or N-substituted monoallylamines.
