Abstract
Abstract Complexes of iron(II), iron(III), manganese(II), manganese(III), gadolinium(III) or chromium(III) and a compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein m=2, 3, 4, or 5, are useful for enhancing magnetic resonance images of body organs and tissues, such as magnetic resonance images of the hepatobiliary system. An illustrative complex of this type is monosodium [ethylenediamine-di(o-hydroxyphenylaceto)]iron(III) hydrate.
