Abstract
Abstract A solid golf ball is made using zinc diacrylate to crosslink polybutadiene. A small amount of zinc dimethacrylate is added and results in a golf ball of higher initial velocity. The amount of zinc dimethacrylate is between 0.1% to 2.0% by weight of the combined total of zinc diacrylate and zinc dimethacrylate. The golf ball product is suitably a one piece golf ball or the core of a two piece golf ball.
