Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 3
Claim 1
Independent Claim 49 words
A process for fabricating a semiconductor device comprising semiconductor laser on a semiconductor substrate in which prior to cleaving the semiconductor substrate to form a facet of the semiconductor laser a hole is made in the substrate along the cleave plane so as to produce a stop cleave facet.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 49 words
A process for fabricating a semiconductor device comprising semiconductor laser on a semiconductor substrate in which prior to cleaving the semiconductor substrate to form a facet of the semiconductor laser a hole is made in the substrate along the cleave plane so as to produce a stop cleave facet.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 16 words
The process of claim 1 in which the hole is produced by wet or dry etching.
