Abstract
Abstract A method of curing adhesive applied between a strain gauge and a transducer body. The method includes the steps of placing the transducer into contact with a fixed member, applying adhesive to a strain gauge and pressing the adhesive coated strain gauge on the transducer body while heating the fixed member. Heating is provided for by controlling the heat supplied to the fixed member so as to maintain the member at a predetermined temperature.

In a method of curing adhesive applied between a strain gauge and a transducer body, the steps comprising: a. placing the transducer body into contact with a fixed member, b. applying an adhesive to a strain gauge and placing the strain gauge next to the transducer body, c. applying a force upon the strain gauge in the direction of the transducer body, d. heating the fixed member through resistance heating with power supplied in increasing increments until a predetermined temperature is achieved, e. measuring the temperature of the fixed member, and f. controlling the heat supplied to the fixed member after the predetermined temperature is attained by applying no power when the fixed member is at the predetermined temperature and supplying full power when the temperature of the fixed member decreases to a second predetermined temperature.
