Abstract
Abstract There is presented a color picture reader, and a method for using the same, which enable one to obtain exact and stable color separated signals. By projecting standard light of a light source on a reference plate, there are set reference values of the color separated signals that correspond to the color of the reference plate. In actual measurement, the light source is controlled by comparing the color separated signals of the light from the light source that is reflected from the reference plate with the predetermined reference values so as to bring them to a coincidence.
