Claim 1
Independent Claim
64 words
A process for producing amines which comprises reacting an aliphatic alcohol or an aliphatic aldehyde with an aminating agent selected from the group of ammonia, primary amine, and secondary amine in the liquid phase in the presence of a catalytic amount of an unsupported catalyst comprising copper carbonate and a carbonate of a metal selected from the group of nickel, cobalt, and mixtures thereof.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
