Abstract
Abstract A catheter has at least three unevenly spaced radio-opaque bands along its length. By counting the number of bands which are individually identifiable in an arteriogram, the orientation of the catheter can be approximated. This makes it possible to approximate the absolute distances on the arteriogram image.
