Claim 6
Dependent Claim 22 words
The cell line of claim 1 profusely and continuously growing on plastic surface in a nutrient culture medium unsupplemented with growth promoters.
Claim 7
Independent Claim 58 words
A method of in vitro culturing of adrenal medullary endothelial cells comprising the steps of dissociating adrenal medullary cells from an adrenal gland, and allowing said cells to proliferate in a medium and environment suitable for the growth of said cells to form recoverable amounts of continuously growing adrenal medullary cells, and then isolating therefrom said endothelial cells.
Claim 8
Independent Claim 58 words
A method of in vitro culturing of adrenal medullary endothelial cells comprising the steps of dissociating adrenal medullary cells from an adrenal gland, and allowing said cells to proliferate in a medium and environment suitable for the growth of said cells to form recoverable amounts of continuously growing adrenal medullary cells, and then isolating therefrom said endothelial cells.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 14 words
The method of claim 6 wherein dissociating comprises treating said adrenal gland with collagenase.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 35 words
The method of claim 6 wherein said medium comprises minimal essential medium supplemented with about 10% heat inactivated fetal calf serum, about 2mM glutamine and suitable amount of antibiotic to prevent growth of undesirable organisms.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 21 words
The method of claim 8 wherein said cells are incubated at about 37° C. for about 3 hours in said medium.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 16 words
The method of claim 6 wherein said endothelial cells produce blood-clotting Factor VIII:C in recoverable amounts.
