Abstract

Abstract A coated abrasive product comprising abrasive granules adherently bonded to at least one major surface of a backing sheet by a radiation curable resinous binder material. The binder material can be used to form the make coat, size coat, or both coats. Alternatively, the binder material can be used in embodiments where only a single binder coat is employed. The radiation curable resinous binder material comprises a copolymer formed from a mixture comprising (1) at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of isocyanurate derivatives having at least one terminal or pendant acrylate group and isocyanate derivatives having at least one terminal or pendant acrylate group, and (2) at least one aliphatic or cycloaliphatic monomer having at least one terminal or pendant acrylate group.
