Claim 2
Dependent Claim 73 words
An assembly for enclosing a junction between elongate substrates, which comprises: (A) a sleeve comprising a recoverable fabric; (B) means for rendering the fabric substantially impervious when the fabric is recovered; and (C) a liner for the sleeve, the liner having a central region of larger cross-section, and end regions of smaller cross-section which provide transitions from the central region to the substrate and which locate the liner with respect to the substrate.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 18 words
An assembly according to claim 1, in which the fabric is knitted or woven from recoverable polymeric fibres.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 16 words
An assembly according to claim 2 in which the fibres are cross-linked before knitting or weaving.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 21 words
An assembly according to claim 1, in which the fabric is a twill, a broken twill, a satin, or a sateen.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 21 words
An assembly according to claim 4, in which the fabric is a weave having substantially heat-stable weft, or substantially heat-stable warp.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 13 words
An assembly according to claim 1, in which the fabric contains polyolefin fibres.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 23 words
