Abstract

Abstract The present invention relates to thermostats for aircraft water heaters. A temperature sensing circuit receives power through a supply circuit which includes a bridge rectifier and a ripple smoothing capacitor. When a predetermined temperature is reached there is an increase in power through the bridge rectifier. This increase triggers another switch which short circuits the input to the bridge and effects power supply to a heater coil.
