Abstract Novel 1-aryl or heteroaryl-6,8-difluoro-1,4-dihydro-7-(3-aminomethyl)pyrrolidinyl- or 7-spiroamino-4-oxo-3-quinolinecarboxylic acids and acid derivatives thereof as antibacterial agents are described as well as methods for their manufacture, formulation and use in treating bacterial infections caused by Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria.
