Abstract

Abstract Particulate filter aid coated with a sufficient amount of melamine formaldehyde cationic colloid to render the anionic surface of the filter aid electropositive. Preferred filter aids are diatomaceous earth, perlite and defibered cellulose. The filter aid is used in a filter bed for filtering submicronic contaminants.
