Abstract

Abstract Polysaccharides are obtained by fermentation using a mixed culture of several microorganisms, of which at least one also produces a polysaccharide in pure culture, which polysaccharides are suitable as viscosity regulators. A mixed culture of the strains Pseudomonas maltophilia DSM 2130 and Agrobacterium tumefaciens DSM 2128 is particularly suitable.
