Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 11
Claim 1
Independent Claim 49 words
An azoic pigment having a silica core comprising a core of a fine powder of silica having a particle diameter of not more than 10 microns and a coating of a mono- or polyazoic dye chemically bound to the surface of the silica core through an aminosilane coupling agent.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 49 words
An azoic pigment having a silica core comprising a core of a fine powder of silica having a particle diameter of not more than 10 microns and a coating of a mono- or polyazoic dye chemically bound to the surface of the silica core through an aminosilane coupling agent.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 19 words
The azoic pigment of claim 1 wherein the silica has a particle diameter of not more than 5 microns.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 22 words
The azoic pigment of claim 1 wherein the silica powder has a surface OH density of at least 0.01/100 Å 2 .
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 78 words
The azoic pigment of claim 1 wherein the aminosilane coupling agent is selected from compounds represented by the following formula (R.sup.2 O).sub.m.sup.R.sub.n.sup.3 Si--R.sup.1 --NH.sub.2 (II) wherein R 1 represents a lower alkylene group which may contain --NH-- or --NHCO-- in the chain, R 2 represents a lower alkyl group, R 3 represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, m is an integer of 1 to 3, and n is 0, 1 or 2 provided that m+n=3.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 15 words
The azoic pigment of claim 4 wherein the aminosilane coupling agent is selected from ##STR116##
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 63 words
The azoic pigment of claim 1 which has a basic structure represented by the following formula ##STR117## wherein ○SP represents the fine powder of silica, R 1 represents a lower alkylene group which may contain --NH-- or --NHCO-- in the chain; Z represents ##STR118## D represents a residue of a mono- or polyazoic dye; and l is a number of at least 1.
Claim 8
