Abstract
Abstract An aircraft grounding receptacle comprising a connector portion and a tubular portion. The connector portion includes an external thread and a hexagonal portion. The tubular portion includes a reduced diameter portion and a hexagonal flange. Four slots separate the tubular portion into four segments and intersect the flange at locations spaced apart from four of the six points comprising the hexagonal shape of the flange. A bore extends through the body for receiving an aircraft grounding plug and includes reduced diameter portions for mating engagement with the terminal groove of the plug.
