Abstract
Abstract Bis-semiesters of sulfosuccinic acid with polyether diols based on ethylene oxide/propylene oxide and/or their alkali metal and/or ammonium salts as surfactants, i.e., agents for reducing the surface tension of aqueous substrates such as water or aqueous solutions, as dispersants, wetting agents and leveling agents. Another aspect of the invention relates to the use of such bis-semiesters and/or such salts as emulsifiers in the emulsion polymerization of water insoluble monomers.
