Abstract

Abstract A stable dispersion of polyaddition products (also called polyurethane polymer polyols) may be made by reacting a Mannich condensate with an organic polyisocyanate in a polyether polyol. The Mannich condensate is made by reacting a phenol with an alkanolamine and formaldehyde and should not be subsequently water-stripped or alkoxylated. If the Mannich condensate has its water content removed, the ultimate dispersion will be unstable and will phase separate. These dispersions are useful in the production of polyurethane foams.
