Abstract
Abstract Cleavable cross-linking reagents having the general formula: ##STR1## wherein R and R 1 are lower alkyl or lower alkenyl groups having one to four carbon atoms and X is a halide. A preferred example of the invention is represented by the formula: ##STR2## Compounds of the present invention are useful in establishing cleavable cross links between sulfhydryl groups of protein molecules.
