Abstract

Abstract A plasticizer for film-forming enteric polymers to be used in coating solid pharmaceutical preparations comprises a monoester or diester or both of glycerol with a saturated aliphatic carboxylic acid having from 6 to 10 carbon atoms. This is particularly useful for coating preparations from aqueous suspensions.
