Abstract A new composition of matter comprising an acrylamide or methacrylamide monomer characterized by the following structural formula: ##STR1## wherein R 1 and R 2 are hydrogen or methyl; R 3 , R 4 , R 5 , R 6 and R 7 are lower alkyls; n is an integer ranging from 1 to 6; and X and Y are the same or different anions.
