Abstract A molybdenum disc suitable for the use as a semiconductor. The disc has a thickness of about 0.5 to several mm and is coated with a noble metal that is applied to the molybdenum in a layer thickness of 0.02μ via an intermediate layer of chromium having a layer thickness of 0.5 to 10.0μ.
