Abstract
Abstract The disclosed wide angle objective has a smaller telephoto ratio than unity and includes, from front to rear, a positive meniscus lens of forward convexity, a bi-concave lens and a bi-convex lens followed, after a large space, by a negative meniscus lens of forward concavity with a diaphragm positioned between the bi-convex lens and the negative meniscus lens. During focusing, the positive meniscus lens, bi-concave lens and bi-convex lens are axially moved in unison. The bi-convex lens is formed by positive and negative lens elements cemented together, and the front surface of the negative meniscus lens is aspherical.
