Abstract
Abstract An adhesive composition comprises an adhesive component and a hydrazine derivative. The adhesive composition has improved resistance to cathodic disbonding when used to adhere a protective coating, such as a polymeric layer, to the surface of a metal substrate. Cathodic disbonding is observed when an electric current is impressed through the substrate to reduce corrosion by inhibiting loss of metal ions from the substrate.
