Claims Analysis
Total Claims: 7
Claim 1
Independent Claim
100 words
The method of reducing the freeze-adherence of coarse mineral particles to the metal surfaces of shipping containers, which method comprises the steps of applying to said surfaces a coating mixture of a naturally occurring phospholipid substance dispersed in a hydrocarbon liquid, in which the principal phospholipids have the structural formula: ##STR3## wherein R 1 and R 2 are fatty acyl radicals containing from 8 to 18 carbon atoms and wherein R 3 is selected from: ##STR4## wherein X is one or more phosphate groups linked to one or more sugar molecules and subsequently adding coarse mineral particles to the container.
Claim 2
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
27 words
The method according to claim 1 wherein said phospholipid substance is present in an amount of from about 5 to about 25% by weight of said vehicle.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
13 words
The method according to claim 1 wherein said vehicle is a petroleum liquid.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
14 words
The method according to claim 3 wherein said petroleum liquid is #2 Fuel Oil.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
14 words
The method according to claim 3 wherein said petroleum liquid is White Mineral Oil.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
20 words
The method according to claim 1 wherein both R 1 and R 2 contain from 16 to 18 carbon atoms.
