Abstract

Abstract The invention provides new chlorine-substituted nitro-para-phenylenediamines of the formula: ##STR1## in which R 1 and R 2 , which are identical or different, denote hydrogen, a lower alkyl group or a monohydroxylated or polyhydroxylated alkyl group and n is an integer from 2 to 4, and the cosmetically acceptable salts of these compounds. These compounds can be used for hair dyeing.
