Abstract

Abstract An apparatus for transferring a developed image on an image bearing member includes a transfer corona discharger disposed in opposition to the transfer position of the image bearing member, transfer material bearing member having a dielectric transfer material bearing surface and disposed to move the transfer material passing through the area between the image bearing member and the transfer corona discharger, and transfer material attraction charge applying device disposed on the downstream of the transfer position and in the space between the surface of the image bearing member and the transfer material bearing surface of the transfer material bearing member.
