Tape cassette device

Claim 2

A tape cassette device comprising: a cassette case; a stationary reel which is encased inside said cassette case and which has a tape guide path extending from the outer circumference to the inner circumference of said stationary reel; an endless tape which is wound on the outer circumference of said stationary reel, and the innermost part of which is drawn out along said tape guide path to the inside of said stationary reel to be wound on the outer circumference of said stationary reel; said cassette case having a bottom plate which has a central opening and a plurality of first roller inserting openings formed along the outer circumference of said stationary reel in a spaced relationship; a rigid blind plate which has a central opening in alignment with said central opening of said bottom plate, and a plurality of second roller inserting openings, said blind plate facing said bottom plate and being pivotable between a first portion where it closes said first roller inserting openings and a second position where said second roller inserting openings are aligned with said first roller inserting openings; and a drive mechanism for displacing said blind plate between said first position and said second position.

Claim 3

A tape cassette device as recited in claim 1 wherein said blind plate is arranged inside cassette case coaxially with said stationary reel.

Claim 4

A tape cassette device as recited in claim 2 wherein said drive mechanism has a spring for biasing said blind plate for pivotal movement to said first position, and a slide bar for pivoting said blind plate to said second position against the biasing force of said spring.

Claim 5

A tape cassette device as recited in claim 3 wherein said spring is connected at one end of said cassette case and at the other end to said slide bar for biasing and pivoting said blind plate by said slide bar to said first position.

Claim 6

A tape cassette device as recited in claim 3 wherein said spring is connected at one end to said cassette case and at the other end to said blind plate for biasing said blind plate directly to said first position.

Claim 7

A tape cassette device as recited in claim 2 further comprising a base plate which is fixed inside said cassette case and carries said stationary reel thereon and which has a plurality of third roller inserting openings, said third roller inserting openings of said base plate being aligned with said first roller inserting openings of said bottom plate, and said blind plate being interposed between said bottom plate and said base plate.

Claim 8

A tape cassette device as recited in claim 2 further comprising a loading mechanism which is disposed inside said cassette case and which prepares the tape drawn to the center of the reel for loading.

Claim 9

A combination comprising a video tape recorder including a magnetic head, a tape driving mechanism and plurality of rollers, and a tape cassette device including: a cassette case; a stationary reel which is mounted inside said cassette case and which has a tape guide path extending from the outer circumference to the inner circumference of said stationary reel; an endless tape which is wound on the outer circumference of said stationary reel, and the innermost part of which is drawn out along said tape guide path to the inside of said stationary reel to be wound on the outer circumference of said stationary reel; said cassette case having a bottom plate which has a central opening and a plurality of first openings formed along the outer circumference of said stationary reel in a spaced relationship; a rigid blind plate which has a central opening in alignment with said central opening of said bottom plate, and a plurality of second inserting openings, said blind plate facing said bottom plate, and being pivotable between a first position where it closes said first openings and a position where said second openings are aligned with said first roller inserting openings; and a drive mechanism for displacing said blind plate between said first position and said second position, whereby, when the tape cassette device is loaded in the video tape recorder, the rollers of the video tape recorder are projected to the inside of the cassette case through the first and second openings and contacted with the lower surface of the endless tape wound on the outer circumference of said stationary reel.

Claim 10

A combination comprising a video tape recorder including a magnetic head, a tape driving mechanism and plurality of rollers, and a tape cassette device including: a cassette case; a stationary reel which is mounted inside said cassette case and which has a tape guide path extending from the outer circumference to the inner circumference of said stationary reel; an endless tape which is wound on the outer circumference of said stationary reel, and the innermost part of which is drawn out along said tape guide path to the inside of said stationary reel to be wound on the outer circumference of said stationary reel; said cassette case having a bottom plate which has a central opening and a plurality of first openings formed along the outer circumference of said stationary reel in a spaced relationship; a rigid blind plate which has a central opening in alignment with said central opening of said bottom plate, and a plurality of second inserting openings, said blind plate facing said bottom plate, and being pivotable between a first position where it closes said first openings and a position where said second openings are aligned with said first roller inserting openings; and a drive mechanism for displacing said blind plate between said first position and said second position, whereby, when the tape cassette device is loaded in the video tape recorder, the rollers of the video tape recorder are projected to the inside of the cassette case through the first and second openings and contacted with the lower surface of the endless tape wound on the outer circumference of said stationary reel.

Claim 11

The combination as recited in claim 8, wherein said video tape recorder includes a driving means to move the driving mechanism of the tape cassette device to automatically swing the blind plate to the second position, when the tape cassette device is loaded on the tape recorder.
