Claims Analysis
Total Claims: 6
Claim 1
Independent Claim
62 words
A method for the preparation of an electrical sensor device having a portion comprising an oxygen ion conducting solid electrolyte, which method comprises forming the electrolyte by deposition onto a substrate from a colloidal dispersion of an inorganic material, said colloidal dispersion comprising a colloidal solution, or a dispersion having a colloidal component, from which oxygen ion conducting electrolyte can be formed.
Claim 2
Independent Claim
62 words
A method for the preparation of an electrical sensor device having a portion comprising an oxygen ion conducting solid electrolyte, which method comprises forming the electrolyte by deposition onto a substrate from a colloidal dispersion of an inorganic material, said colloidal dispersion comprising a colloidal solution, or a dispersion having a colloidal component, from which oxygen ion conducting electrolyte can be formed.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
18 words
A method as claimed in claim 1 wherein the colloidal dispersion contains a colloidal component and another component.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
29 words
A method as claimed in claim 1 wherein the electrolyte is formed from the colloidal dispersion by effecting a sol-gel transformation to form a gel and heating the gel.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
42 words
A method as claimed in claim 1 wherein said portion of electrolyte is formed as a layer on a substrate by dipping the substrate into the colloidal dispersion, thereby to coat the substrate with dispersion, and converting the dispersion to a layer.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
39 words
A method as claimed in claim 1 wherein said portion of electrolyte is formed as a layer on a substrate by applying the colloidal dispersion to a selected area of the substrate and converting the dispersion to a layer.
