Abstract

Abstract A direct positive silver halide photographic light-sensitive material is described comprising a support having coated thereon at least one light-sensitive silver halide photographic emulsion layer, wherein at least one layer of the light-sensitive silver halide photographic emulsion layers and other hydrophilic colloid layers contains a compound represented by formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R 1 and R 2 can each represent a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic group, an aromatic group, or a heterocyclic group; R 3 represents a hydrogen atom or an aliphatic group; R 4 represents a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic group, or an aromatic group; and X represents a divalent aromatic group. The direct positive silver halide photographic light-sensitive material containing the above novel fogging agent compound has good preservability and provides excellent reversal photographic images in spite of changes (1) in the bromine ion concentration in a developing solution used for processing, (2) in the particle size of the internal latent image type silver halide grains, and (3) in the amount of the fogging agent employed.
