Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 6
Claim 1
Independent Claim 97 words
An electroconductive paint product, containing electroconductive metal particles in a liquid vehicle, said particles being present in a quantity effective, upon solidification of said paint, to be in particle-to-particle contact with one another, and wherein said particles have a stabilized electroconductive surface comprising (a) a first reaction product of said electroconductive metal with an electroconductive carbide, nitride, boride or silicide and, also, (b) an effective amount of second reaction product of said electroconductive metal with sulfur to form means to improve the stability of the electroconductivity of a coating formed of said paint to moisture and heat.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 97 words
An electroconductive paint product, containing electroconductive metal particles in a liquid vehicle, said particles being present in a quantity effective, upon solidification of said paint, to be in particle-to-particle contact with one another, and wherein said particles have a stabilized electroconductive surface comprising (a) a first reaction product of said electroconductive metal with an electroconductive carbide, nitride, boride or silicide and, also, (b) an effective amount of second reaction product of said electroconductive metal with sulfur to form means to improve the stability of the electroconductivity of a coating formed of said paint to moisture and heat.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 21 words
A paint as defined in claim 1 wherein said first reaction product is a carbide and wherein said metal is nickel.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 16 words
A paint product as defined in claim 1 wherein said metal is iron, nickel or cobalt.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 53 words
A solidified paint product comprising an effective quantity of particles having a stabilizing electroconductive surface as defined in claim 1, 2 or 3 and further characterized by an initial resistivity of less than 10 ohms per square when said particles are loaded into a 2-mil coating of said paint at 80% by weight.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 57 words
A paint as defined in claims 1, 2, or 3 wherein the stabilized powder has an average particle diameter of from 0.5 to 40 microns and is characterized by the ability to impart a resistivity of 1.5 ohms per square or less when distributed at 80% by weight leading, in a 2-mil thick coating of polyacrylate binder.
