Abstract

Abstract A process for producing a graft copolymer characterized by melt-blending 100 parts by weight of a resin mixture comprising 90 to 10% by weight of a polyphenylene oxide having a structural unit of ##STR1## (wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 each represents hydrogen, a halogen atom, a hydrocarbon or substituted hydrocarbon radical) and 10 to 90% by weight of a styrene polymer in the presence of 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of a compound containing nitrogen and oxygen selected from oxime compounds and nitroso compounds.
