Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 2
Claim 1
Independent Claim 70 words
A method for assaying the activity of gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase in serum which comprises allowing the compound L-gamma-glutamyl-3-carboxy-4-hydroxyanilide represented by the formula ##STR3## an acid addition salt thereof, or an alkali metal or amine salt thereof, to react with gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase in serum in a buffer solution, allowing 3-carboxy-4-hydroxyaniline formed by the reaction to undergo oxidative condensation with a coupler and then determining colorimetrically a colored substance formed by the condensation.
