Abstract

Abstract These catalysts comprise: A refractory oxide-mineral carrier; a halogen element, present in combined form; and, in free or combined form, (a) a platinum-group metal, m1 (b) tin, and additionally a metal, M1, from groups Ia and IIa of the periodic table of the elements in such an amount that: 0.2≦M2/M1≦10. Specifically, said metal from groups Ia and IIa may be sodium, lithium, potassium, calcium or barium.
