Abstract
Abstract A novel photopolymerizable composition comprising (a) a non-gaseous ethylenically unsaturated compound, (b) a thermoplastic organic polymer binder, (c) a photopolymerization initiator and (d) a specific s-triazine compound provides improved adhesion of a photopolymer prepared therefrom to a substrate even in aqueous plating or etching solutions.

A photopolymerizable composition which comprises: (a) at least one non-gaseous ethylenically unsaturated compound having at least two terminal ethylenic groups and capable of forming a high polymer with the aid of a photopolymerization initiator activated by actinic radiation, (b) at least one thermoplastic organic polymer binder, (c) at least one photopolymerization initiator activatable by actinic radiation, and (d) at least one s-triazine compound represented by the formula: ##STR2## wherein R 1 and R 2 each independently stands for a hydrogen atom, an amino group, an aryl group, a straight chain or branched (C 1 -C 4 )alkyl group, a straight chain or branched (C 1 -C 4 )alkylamino group, or a halogen atom.

A photopolymerizable composition which comprises: (a) at least one non-gaseous ethylenically unsaturated compound having at least two terminal ethylenic groups and capable of forming a high polymer with the aid of a photopolymerization initiator activated by actinic radiation, (b) at least one thermoplastic organic polymer binder, (c) at least one photopolymerization initiator activatable by actinic radiation, and (d) at least one s-triazine compound represented by the formula: ##STR2## wherein R 1 and R 2 each independently stands for a hydrogen atom, an amino group, an aryl group, a straight chain or branched (C 1 -C 4 )alkyl group, a straight chain or branched (C 1 -C 4 )alkylamino group, or a halogen atom.

A photopolymerizable composition as claimed in any one of claims 1 or 2, wherein 20 to 60% by weight of said at least one ethylenically unsaturated compound (a), 30 to 77% by weight of said at least one thermoplastic organic polymer binder (b) and 1 to 10% by weight of said at least one photopolymerization initiator (c) are present based on the composition.
