Abstract Water-thinnable, heat curable binders for coatings are prepared by reacting a polyglycidyl ether of a polyhydric phenol with neutralized sulphanilic acid in a ratio of from 0.9 to 1.1 aminohydrogen equivalents per epoxy equivalent.
