Abstract

Abstract A photographic yellow coupler having a general formula selected from the group consisting of (I), (II) and (III) ##STR1## wherein A is a yellow coupler residue defined by removing one hydrogen atom of a active methylene group from a yellow coupler having the active methylene group; Q is a group having a formula selected from the group consisting of ##STR2## and ##STR3## (where X and Y are individually a hydrogen atom or an alkyl, acyl, aryl or aralkyl group; Z is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl, aryl or aralkyl group; and R 1 and R 2 are individually a hydrogen atom or an alkyl, aryl or aralkyl group or both of R 1 and R 2 together may form a benzylidene group or a cycloalkyl group); and Q' is a group of the formula --CH 2 --CH 2 -- or ##STR4## (wherein R 3 is a hydrogen or halogen atom or an alkoxy group; R 4 is a hydrogen or halogen atom, an amino, acylamino, ureido, lower alkyl, alkoxy or hydroxy group; and R 4 and R 5 are individually a lower alkyl group).

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 5
Claim 1
Independent Claim 85 words
A process for forming a yellow dye image, which comprises bringing a yellow coupler having the formula ##STR67## wherein A is a yellow coupler residue defined by removing one hydrogen atom of an active methylene group from a yellow coupler having the active methylene group; Q is a group having a formula ##STR68## wherein Z is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl, aryl or aralkyl group; into contact with exposed silver halide crystals in the presence of a color developer for said silver halide crystals.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 85 words
A process for forming a yellow dye image, which comprises bringing a yellow coupler having the formula ##STR67## wherein A is a yellow coupler residue defined by removing one hydrogen atom of an active methylene group from a yellow coupler having the active methylene group; Q is a group having a formula ##STR68## wherein Z is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl, aryl or aralkyl group; into contact with exposed silver halide crystals in the presence of a color developer for said silver halide crystals.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 76 words
A light-sensitive silver halide color photographic material having a support and coated thereon a light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, containing a photographic yellow coupler of the formula ##STR69## wherein A is a yellow coupler residue defined by removing one hydrogen atom of an active methylene group from a yellow coupler having the active methylene group; Q is a radical having a formula ##STR70## wherein Z is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl, aryl or aralkyl group.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 76 words
A light-sensitive silver halide color photographic material having a support and coated thereon a light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, containing a photographic yellow coupler of the formula ##STR69## wherein A is a yellow coupler residue defined by removing one hydrogen atom of an active methylene group from a yellow coupler having the active methylene group; Q is a radical having a formula ##STR70## wherein Z is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl, aryl or aralkyl group.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 28 words
