Abstract

Abstract A flame-retardant, antistatic synthetic polymeric fiber which is the product of the process of dispersing in said fiber about 1 percent to about 12 percent by weight of a polymer composition which is the reaction product of a polyester of a polyoxyalkylene compound having as a nucleus a nitrogen-containing reactive hydrogen containing compound with a reactant selected from the group consisting of at least one of an aliphatic or aromatic diacid, anhydride or acid halide thereof and a diol wherein at least one of said reactant is halogenated.
