Abstract
Abstract A water and oil repellent essentially consisting of a copolymer comprising units of (a) at least one of fluoroalkyl group-containing polymerizable compounds and of (b) at least one of 2-hydroxy-3-chloropropyl acrylate and methacrylate of the formula: CH2=CRCOOCH2CH(OH)CH2Cl wherein R is hydrogen or methyl, which is highly resistant to laundering and dry cleaning.
