Abstract
Abstract A control system for a multi-speed transmission having a plurality of friction devices with at least two friction devices being engaged for each speed range includes an electric circuit for controlling the supply of pressurized fluid from a source to and from the friction devices. The electric circuit includes pressure sensing means to maintain a friction device that is to be disengaged in an engaged position until the friction device that is to be engaged reaches a certain fluid pressure value to produce a power shift.
